Jake Gaechter believes the best financial decisions begin with understanding the possibilities.

Working alongside founder and Registered Investment Adviser Mitchel Krause, Jake plays a critical role in developing the comprehensive retirement plans that form the foundation of every client relationship at Other Side Asset Management. Taking the ideas developed during the planning process, Jake builds the sophisticated financial models that allow clients to visualize their future under multiple scenarios. By stress testing retirement income, market volatility, inflation, taxes, longevity, healthcare costs, and changing life circumstances, he helps transform complex planning concepts into clear, meaningful decisions.

Jake has an exceptional ability to take complicated financial strategies and present them in a way clients can actually see and understand. His work helps answer the questions that matter most: What happens if I retire early? What if markets struggle? Can we spend more? Will our plan still work twenty years from now?

His goal is to give clients confidence that their retirement has been evaluated from every angle before important decisions are made.

A New Jersey native, Jake studied finance, accounting, and business at Montclair State University before beginning his career in financial services. His analytical mindset is balanced by a genuine passion for building relationships and helping clients feel informed throughout every step of the planning process.

Away from the office, music remains one of Jake's greatest passions. A lifelong musician, he has toured throughout the United States performing with an Eagles tribute band and continues to perform locally while maintaining ties to his family's music store. The preparation, discipline, and teamwork developed through years of performing continue to influence the way he approaches his work with clients.

Jake and his longtime partner, Angel, enjoy the quiet beauty of northwestern New Jersey, where wildlife is simply part of everyday life, including the occasional black bear wandering through the backyard. An avid animal lover, Jake appreciates the slower pace of mountain living and believes the strongest relationships, both personally and professionally, are built over time.
